Amaati is a Ghanaian social enterprise whose mission is to build sustainable communities through the use of the Fonio grain, which nourishes the land, the people and society. Amaati uses the triple-bottom line approach to support landless vulnerable women in rural Savanah to revive an extinct and a neglected crop called Fonio, on marginal lands. The cultivation of Fonio and other crops supports land regeneration, and also serves as a source of income.
